Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using FutbolPool, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Service.

To use FutbolPool, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
• Provide accurate and complete registration information

FutbolPool is available to users in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda) and other regions where the Service is offered. We may restrict access from certain jurisdictions at our discretion.

Account Creation: You may register using your email address, phone number, or social login (Google, Facebook). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Account Security: You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account.

One Account Per Person: Each person may only maintain one account. Creating multiple accounts to gain unfair advantages is prohibited and may result in termination of all accounts.

Account Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

FutbolPool provides a social football prediction platform where you can:

• Predict match scores for major football tournaments (AFCON, FIFA World Cup, etc.)
• Create and join private leagues with friends, colleagues, family members
• Compete on leaderboards based on prediction accuracy
• View match schedules, results, and statistics

Important: FutbolPool is a free, social prediction game. We do not offer real-money gambling, betting, or wagering of any kind. Points earned are for entertainment and bragging rights only and have no monetary value.

Prediction Deadlines: Predictions must be submitted before the designated deadline (typically 1-6 hours before match kickoff). Late predictions will not be accepted.

Scoring System: Points are awarded based on prediction accuracy. The scoring system varies by tournament stage, with higher points available for knockout rounds and finals.

Score Finalization: Match results are finalized based on official tournament data. We allow a 2-hour grace period after matches for potential corrections (e.g., VAR reviews).

Disputes: Leaderboard rankings are calculated automatically. While we strive for accuracy, our decisions on scoring disputes are final.

When you create content on FutbolPool (such as league names, display names, or other user-provided text), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content within our Service.

You agree that your content will not:

• Contain offensive, discriminatory, or hateful language
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Contain spam, advertising, or promotional material
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms without prior notice.

You agree not to:

• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Circumvent any measures we use to restrict access
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Create multiple accounts or share accounts
• Manipulate predictions or leaderboards through fraudulent means

The FutbolPool name, logo, and all related graphics, designs, and content are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws.

Football team names, logos, and tournament branding displayed in our Service are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for informational purposes only.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our Service without our express written permission.

Termination by You: You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Termination by Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Create multiple accounts
• Remain inactive for an extended period (we will notify you before such termination)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. Historical prediction data may be retained in aggregated, anonymized form for statistical purposes.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Match data or scores will always be accurate or timely
• The Service will meet your specific requirements
• Any errors in the Service will be corrected

FutbolPool relies on third-party data providers for match information. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in such data.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FutbolPool and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Loss of data or predictions
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Errors in scoring or leaderboard calculations
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Actions of other users

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FutbolPool and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Any content you submit to the Service

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when the Terms were last modified.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

For users in Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda, local consumer protection laws may provide additional rights that cannot be waived by these Terms.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Nairobi, Kenya, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
